The LFEM-50-100 supports:
DC coupling for solar PV integration (4 MPPT channels, max 96kW PV)
Grid-connected operation with PV self-consumption and battery storage
Off-grid / island operation with grid-forming capability
Millisecond-level on/off-grid switching
Multi-source access: PV, diesel generator, storage, and EV charging
Parallel expansion with multiple cabinets for MW-level capacity
A: The two models share the same power rating (50kW), same PV input capability (96kW, 4 MPPT), same dimensions, and same features. The only difference is battery energy capacity:
| Feature | LFEM-50-100-A | LFEM-50-100-B |
|---|---|---|
| Rated Energy | 96kWh | 112kWh |
| Rated Voltage | 307.2V | 358.4V |
| Voltage Range | 268.8–345.6V | 313.6–403.2V |
Choose the B model if you need longer backup duration or more daily energy throughput.
A: The LFEM-50-100 is primarily a DC-coupled system with 4 MPPT channels for direct PV connection. It also supports AC coupling for grid-tied applications. This dual capability allows flexible integration with both new PV installations and existing AC-coupled systems.
A: The LFEM-50-100 is an all-in-one, pre-assembled cabinet. On-site installation typically takes 1 day for placement, PV connection, cabling, and electrical connection. Commissioning and testing usually require an additional 1 day.
A: Yes. The LFEM-50-100 supports parallel operation with multiple cabinets of the same model. You can start with one unit and add more as your power demand or PV capacity grows, achieving MW-level microgrid capacity.
A: The system uses smart air cooling with variable-speed fans controlled by battery and inverter temperature sensors. The cabinet is rated IP55 for dust and water resistance. Operating temperature range is -25°C to 60°C, with derating above 45°C to protect components. For extreme heat (above 50°C continuous), we recommend evaluating our liquid-cooled models.
A: The system supports Modbus RTU (via RS485) and Modbus TCP (via Ethernet). It can be integrated with SCADA, EMS, or building management systems. Our cloud platform also provides remote monitoring and data visualization.
A: The system incorporates multi-level fire protection:
Pack level: Each battery pack has its own fire suppression module
Cabinet level: Water spray fire protection for the entire enclosure
AI prediction: Continuous monitoring of voltage, temperature, and current to predict and alert potential faults
A: The LFP314 cells are rated for 6,000 cycles at 25°C, 0.5C charge/discharge rate, 90% DoD, and 70% EOL capacity retention. Under daily cycling, this translates to approximately 15–16 years of useful life.
A: Payback period depends on local electricity rates, load profile, and available incentives. Typical payback for commercial and off-grid applications is 3–5 years. We provide a free ROI simulation based on your site data.
A: The LFEM-50-100 connects directly to 400V low-voltage grids. For medium-voltage connection (e.g., 10kV, 35kV), an external step-up transformer is required. We can provide or recommend suitable transformers based on your project requirements.
A: Yes. Our cloud-edge collaborative platform provides real-time monitoring, remote control, OTA upgrades, and predictive maintenance alerts. Our engineering team provides 24/7 remote support for all installed systems.
A: The main differences are power, capacity, PV input, and cooling method:
| Feature | LFEM-50-100 | LFEM-125-261-E1 |
|---|---|---|
| Rated Power | 50kW | 125kW |
| Rated Energy | 96/112kWh | 261kWh |
| PV Input | 96kW, 4 MPPT | 150kW, 3 MPPT |
| Cooling | Air-cooled | Liquid-cooled |
| Application | Small C&I, remote off-grid | Larger microgrid, C&I |
Choose LFEM-50-100 for smaller loads and budget-sensitive projects. Choose LFEM-125-261-E1 for larger power and energy requirements.
