In a major optoelectronics manufacturing facility in Chongqing, China, critical production equipment—including Red-Light and Blue-Green Light MOCVD machines—was supplied entirely by a dedicated 2,500 kVA transformer. The facility experienced frequent voltage sags, particularly during summer peak loads, which directly caused product defects and significant financial losses. To address this challenge, Sanhe Power Tech deployed a turnkey solution: a 2,500 kVA Low Voltage Ride-Through (LVRT) system with a 1.5-second compensation time. The system featured a separated layout design to overcome space constraints in the existing electrical room. It delivers a response time of <1ms, compensation efficiency of >99%, and can handle voltage drops from 0% to 130% of nominal voltage. During a grid event on July 2, 2023, when the supply voltage dropped to 120V, the LVRT system activated successfully, fully stabilizing the load-side voltage and ensuring zero production disruption. This project effectively eliminated yield losses and unplanned downtime caused by voltage sags, demonstrating the critical value of advanced voltage sag mitigation technology for protecting high-value, continuous manufacturing processes.
