Modular Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage Solution Supports Global Energy Transition
August 2026 – Sanhe Power Tech announces the official shipment of its 5MWh containerized battery energy storage system (BESS) , marking a significant milestone in the company's large-scale energy storage integration and delivery capabilities. The system features a 20-foot standard container design with a single-unit capacity exceeding 5MWh, suitable for grid frequency regulation, renewable energy integration, commercial and industrial peak shaving, and microgrid applications.
The system builds on Sanhe Power Tech's proven energy storage technology, utilizing LFP (LiFePO₄) battery cells with a cycle life exceeding 6,000 cycles (25°C, 0.5C, 90% DoD, 70% EOL) and round-trip efficiency exceeding 90%. The integrated liquid cooling thermal management system maintains cell temperature difference within 3°C, significantly extending system lifespan.
The 20-foot container standard design ensures excellent transportability and on-site deployment flexibility. The system can be operated as a standalone unit or expanded in parallel to 20MWh+, accommodating various project scales and capacity requirements.
The system features pack-level immersion fire suppression and compartment-level aerosol fire extinguishing, equipped with smoke, temperature, and gas sensors for early fire detection and linked control. Under extreme conditions, explosion venting devices prevent container structural deformation, ensuring personnel and equipment safety on-site.
The 5MWh BESS system completed full factory pre-commissioning and system integration testing prior to shipment. The system is transported using integrated lifting and flatbed trailer methods, with a single-container weight of approximately 43 tons, complying with port and land transport standards.
